While there are many benefits, like any business there are drawbacks. 
A freelancer must be disciplined. 

That working at home can be a problem for people failing to focus on a task. Indeed, the distractions are many: 
• Internet 
• Television and radio 
• The phone 
• Children 
The list can be long and every distraction may be an opportunity to do anything but work on the project. 
To succeed, it is important to work in isolation from everything else. 
A freelancer must be able to manage time 
When self-employed, time management is crucial to success. Indeed, as I mentioned in the previous point, distractions are important. That is to say, a task that can be performed in one hour normally ask you 2 or 3 times longer. This is a significant shortfall especially if this is the case for all of your missions. 

Successfully manage your time is work that may take time and effort.

It is essential to have a little cocoon to improve its productivity. Work in your living room is not recommended if you have a toddler, unless you want to spend your time in care. In this case, you will need twice as much time to complete a task. 
Instead, try to develop a comfortable, quiet install for your desktop.
